Selected in Central Europe
at the end of 1800; our best quality is grown in the provinces of
Ferrara and Rovigo.
Features:
Medium-sized fruits,
coarse green-yellow skin, russet around the calyx, medium-thin, juicy
flesh with a sweet and refreshing taste.
On the table:
Best enjoyed from January
to late spring, when fruits reach excellent juiciness and sweetness.
Collection:
Mid-August to the
first ten days of September.
Conservation:
Refrigerating rooms until
June
